As you may have heard, this passing weekend, there was an incedent involving Kidz Bop and a boulder. This will surely be remembered as a tradgedy throughout history. As the story goes, Kidz Bop was finishing up their world tour, and was driving from California to Houston, Texas to do their final show (in more ways than 1). As they were passing through New Mexico, driving along a mountain road at about 2:30 PM, a boulder dislodged itself from the mountainside and landed on top of their tour bus. An ambulance wasn't called for multiple hours because nobody was using the road, and due to the boulder crushing the tour bus and the people inside, nobody was able to use their phones to call for help. It wasn't until a single mother, Laura Shelf came to the scene that help was slated to arrive. In an interview with CNN, Shelf said, "I almost screamed when I saw that boulder, plunged 4 feet deep into a tour bus full of children. They were more than a bit scraped up. The entire bus and the people inside was evicerated." It seems like the wheels on that bus go round and round no longer. I know they usually drop a ball for the New Year, but this seems a bit much. Laura Shelf was with her 2 sons, Donald and Harry Shelf, when she saw the accident. One of them was quoted as saying, "The big car was smaller than usual. Is that what happens when a rock hits you? That's crazy." The other one was quoted as saying "Holy shit those people are absolutely Smushed. Bonkers." This article is dedicated to Mark Hanoff, Grace Remda, Tyler Grint, Rupert Drop IV, Kelcee Yerp, and the bus driver, John Grant, all of whom were flattened on the morning of January 6th, 2023. I guess it goes to show, that you should always be careful driving down a mountain road, and definitely always be on the lookout for any falling debris, or you may end up like the 5 children and the one brave man who were exterminated on the 6th.
